Here is one of our favorite pics of Tate and Roxie.
Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks. And God's peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Baby Caden
Last Friday, GP and I had the pleasure of meeting our newest great-nephew Caden, who just happens to be the coolest newborn out there at the moment. He couldn't be cuter. V thought he was a real, live doll--something to cuddle and kiss. J wanted to poke a hole in his head and really resented Big D, his dad, holding the new baby. Caden was born with a Kirk Douglas chin, which prompted lots of questions about Mom's whereabouts 40 weeks ago!

Last Weekend of Summer
I am celebrating my last weekend of summer--that is, the weekend before I officially go back to school. And how am I doing this, you ask? By babysitting our grandchildren, V and J. Actually, this is V's last opportunity to visit the g'parents before starting Kindergarten at the end of the month. And how does Grandpa celebrate this weekend? By leaving me alone with V and J. (Actually he was helping his brother fence a portion of their Dad's place.)
After the third dirty diaper this morning, I taught J, who is 2, to say "stinky britches." That was pretty amusing and made up for the disgusting aroma around the house. When Grandpa came home after lunch, he made up for being gone by bringing everyone hot fudge sundaes. How appropriate was that?
Seriously, the kids are wonderful, smart, funny, talented, and charming. Hmmm. They must take after us! Glad they are here!
